NCT offers its Members the opportunity to trade their non-pulp round log timber into a host of financially secure non-pulp market options (ie into saw timber, treated poles, mining timber, charcoal markets). Its network of registered non-pulp round log buyers/markets cover the three main timber growing areas in South Africa - Mpumalanga, KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern & Western Cape. This market constitutes 18% of NCT's total sales volumes (in excess of 400 000 tonnes) into approximately 120 different national markets.
The common commodities NCT trades (brokers) for its Members are:

NCT Members are required to organise their own harvesting contractors
and transport contractors for special market supply opportunities, though
NCT can assist where possible. NCT's service to its
registered markets/buyers is paramount. The Co-operative understands the
difficulties of spot market round log procurement and continuously strives
to fulfil market needs in a professional, efficient and effective manner.
The benefits of being an NCT registered market/buyer are:
- Timeous procurement of timber
- Competitive market-related prices
- Focussed service to your needs
- Awareness of your demand commodities within the NCT grower/member
supply base
- Secure long-term supplies
