25 INTEGRATED ANNUAL REPORT 2026 Second Half of the Year: Capacity Restoration and Strategic Readiness The second half of the year marked a turning point as major engineering infrastructure at the NCT Richards Bay Mill Complex was progressively recommissioned. This significantly improved operational flexibility, stock management and turnaround efficiency. In parallel, certification capacity was strengthened through the tactical approach of the NCT specialist Certification team further positioning NCT to meet FSC, EUDR and Sustainable Biomass Programme requirements and reinforcing readiness for future market expectations. The NCT Code of Conduct signed annually by all participating members and suppliers really proved its worth during the year and endorsed the fact that all suppliers own and are responsible and accountable for their individual chains of supply. Member Engagement, Risk Management and Allocation Fairness Member engagement remained central via regular member briefs, the NCT App and website, zone meetings, webinars, field days and the Annual General Meeting, thereby ensuring transparency and shared understanding during a challenging year. Allocation processes were aligned to revised GST commitments, with strict application of the 110% cap in the interests of fairness to all. External logistics and infrastructure risks further underscored the importance of disciplined planning and ethical supply practices.
