Annual Report 2025

55 INTEGRATED ANNUAL REPORT 2025 Sustainability, Security, and Compliance in the Digital Era Technology initiatives over the past year have advanced sustainability, strengthened cybersecurity, and reinforced regulatory compliance. Energy-efficient infrastructure, cloud adoption, and responsible e-waste management have reduced environmental impact, while robust security controls and remote work capabilities have safeguarded data and supported staff well-being. Strategic platforms underpin traceable, auditable forestry operations, ensuring continued alignment with FSC, Chain of Custody, and EUDR requirements – demonstrating NCT’s commitment to responsible, future-ready operations. The Future Looking ahead, NCT’s IT strategy continues to evolve with a strong focus on innovation, security, and data intelligence. A key initiative on the horizon is the rollout of a Track and Deliver application, which will enable real-time tracking of trucks from the source plantation through to final delivery points. This will not only improve logistical oversight but also enhance supplier transparency and delivery accuracy. Further enhancements to GIS capabilities are also planned, including more detailed spatial layers and improved integration with operational data to support planning, monitoring, and compliance reporting. On the cybersecurity front, NCT is preparing to adopt a Zero Trust network architecture, ensuring that access to systems and data is continuously verified and limited to only what is necessary. This approach will significantly strengthen our overall security posture, protecting against evolving threats while maintaining agility and user productivity.
