36 INTEGRATED ANNUAL REPORT 2026 Good governance has been the backbone of NCT to ensure the Board leads ethically and give assurance to the NCT membership of good performance, legitimacy, and effective control. The Board follows the Principles of Good Governance for Co-operatives and King IV in its development of good governance policies and practices. During the year NCT codified the NCT values through the NCT Ethics Policy and Code of Conduct. We believe this will give further guidance to NCT’s stakeholders and more specifically our employees on how to manage business relationships and activities with all stakeholders. NCT has been a major partner of timber growers and ENABLED forestry business in South Africa since 1949. This has become the foundation of our value system. Governance
