The role is more member-focused and team-oriented, which she has really enjoyed. Communication, organisation, and people skills have been key in helping her transition into this position. What Trisha enjoys most about her work is helping members and making processes easier for them. She finds it rewarding knowing that the work done behind the scenes has a real impact on people’s day-to-day experiences. Outside of work, Trisha enjoys spending time with friends and family and being outdoors. She enjoys exploring new places and staying active, which helps her reset and recharge after a busy week. Looking back, Trisha is most proud of how far she has come — from knowing very little about forestry to becoming confident in her role and trusted with responsibility. Her advice to colleagues and young professionals is simple: be curious, ask questions, and don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. She lives by the “Eat the Frog” mindset, focusing on tackling challenges head-on and always staying open to learning.
