28 INTEGRATED ANNUAL REPORT 2026 NCT Richards Bay Wood Chips At NCT Richards Bay Wood Chips, throughput recovery gathered momentum as intake reached 967 264 tonnes across Acacia, Eucalyptus, E. smithii and biomass categories. The supply received from members, NCT Tree Farming and external suppliers amounted to 997 132 tonnes exported across 22 shipments. Biomass exports continue to form part of the year’s activity emphatically supporting product diversification and biomass value-chain participation. Operational improvements at Richards Bay included the complete rebuilding of production conveyor systems for both BayFibre and RBWC, installation of fire-retardant rated conveyors throughout the production plants, PLC and MCC upgrades, a BayFibre screen upgrade, and fire reticulation improvements.
